2.1 Sensor Architecture

1. Pixel array – Metal-over-capacitive with TMR Top dielectric stack.
2. Analog front-end (AFE) – Correlated double sampling, gain stage.
3. Digital signal processor – Includes hardware accelerator for PurePrint™.

Synaptics (now part of Renesas after acquisition) indicates the FS7605 will be succeeded by:

• FS7700 – larger array (320 × 320), integrated touch controller.
• PurePrint™ Gen2 – on-device neural network for spoof detection (0.2 TOPS NPU).
• Post-quantum cryptography support for template storage.
