3. Preparing the Configuration (The "Burner" File)

The firmware usually comes in a folder containing several files. The most important file ends in .bnr (Burner Image). This file is the bootloader/firmware that tells the controller how to behave.

Step 6 – Post-Update

Create a folder on your desktop: C:\Phison_Update. Place the MPALL tool and the .bin firmware files there. but the NAND initialization failed.

Decoding the Version Number

Golden Rule: You must match the tool version to your NAND type. If you have a drive with Micron TLC NAND, using a firmware for Toshiba MLC will brick the drive permanently.

The Drive is now a "Space" drive (8MB or 0 bytes)
