Part 7: Rotary Axis Setup – Round Objects
You screwed the rotary chuck onto its motor, loaded a stainless steel water bottle. In EZCAD, you went to Parameters → Rotary → Enable Rotary → Type: “Chuck Roller” → Diameter: entered the bottle’s actual diameter (70mm). Then you set “Step per rotation” to match the rotary’s gear ratio (for Huayu, typically 360 steps/rotation).
Test: You marked a 10mm line along the bottle’s circumference. It came out curved because the software assumed a flat surface. So you changed the marking mode to “Rotary Expansion” under Pen → Mark Mode → “Rotary Axis Mapping.” Then you typed text and used “Arc Text” tool with radius equal to bottle radius (35mm). Perfect cylindrical engraving.
